The PMB5 adhesive base is designed for mounting to various substrates using different available mounting adhesives, both liquid and paste form. Special openings in the base of the pedestal and spacer elements ensure good adhesive distribution, thereby providing good adhesion and tear strength (dependent on the adhesive used). PMB is made of a material with increased temperature resistance, so it can be mounted using a thermoplastic adhesive. The PMB5 pedestal is adapted for cable ties up to 4.8 mm wide. The PMB5 pedestal was developed as a complement to the MB self-adhesive pedestals. Because it is designed for mounting using mounting adhesives and can therefore be mounted on uneven surfaces, it provides a good alternative when it is not possible to use screw fasteners. Such pedestals are used in the construction of rail vehicles and renewable energy devices. They can also be used in the shipbuilding, electrical and construction of electrical switchboards industries.
