Self-amalgamating tapes
Self-vulcanising tapes
The Skład Techniczny offer includes everything you need for effective insulation and protection of your electrical installations. The wide selection of specialised products comes from renowned manufacturers, such as HellermannTyton, guaranteeing the highest quality at an affordable price. Our offer includes self-amalgamating tapes suitable for insulating both low voltages (up to 1kV) and high voltages, up to 69kV. Made from extremely durable yet flexible material based on ethylene-propylene rubber and characterised by excellent discharge resistance, HellermannTyton self-amalgamating tapes provide effective protection against UV radiation, moisture, corrosion and chemicals. Thanks to their self-vulcanising properties, they provide a watertight and airtight insulation that performs excellently even in outdoor applications, protecting the installation from adverse atmospheric conditions. Highly flexible, they fit easily, even to irregular shapes and surfaces. Due to their excellent durability and high temperature resistance, the tapes we offer are widely used in working machinery and the hydraulic, agricultural and automotive industries. The lack of adhesive makes them excellent for temporary protection measures, as their removal is easy and leaves no residue.
Self-amalgamating tapes
Please note that this type of tape requires special application, due to the lack of adhesive. It should be applied to clean, dry surfaces and stretched as tightly as possible when wrapping, so that it adheres tightly to the substrate in question. Stretched overlapping, the tape begins to shrink and returns to its previous shape, creating a permanent, tight bond. To achieve the desired results you do not need to heat or compress the tape in any way. The whole process is automatic, and the most crucial element is the proper tension during installation. Keep in mind that once the tape has been properly applied and vulcanised, unwrapping it is not possible, as it bonds permanently. The only way to remove self-vulcanising tapes is to cut them.
