BIOGEN WIRESHIELD Rocol

BIOGEN WIRESHIELD is a high-performance, biodegradable wire rope lubricant, based on Rocol’s BIOGEN technology, providing higher performance levels than traditional mineral oils with no compromise on the environment, operator safety or cable protection. It offers excellent corrosion protection, protecting ropes from their primary failure mode and preventing wear and reducing friction on rope strands. The product features advanced pseudoplastic rheology. The gel transforms into a fluid consistency under shear, aiding penetration to the core of the rope. When shear is removed, it returns to a grease consistency, ensuring low fling off and high resistance to dripping and water wash off. The thin, non-tacky film prevents the build up of dust and dirt. The no sheen formula is resistant to salt water, biodegradable and has low bioaccumulation potential. BIOGEN WIRESHIELD is approved for use on TTS Syncrolift and with Masto, Viper and Corelube High Pressure Wire Rope Lubricators.

Application: Lubrication and corrosion protection of submerged ropes, ROV umbilical cables, static ropes, ship lifts, ship to shore cranes, onshore cranes, winches, hoists, drag lines, large chains and gears.
