Product Details

A semi-transparent, single-component silicone adhesive with a liquid, self-leveling consistency and good mechanical properties. The adhesive cures at room temperature from the moisture in the air and forms an elastic joint with very good mechanical properties. It uses an acidic curing system. ELASTOSIL E41 is a modification of the popular ELASTOSIL E43 adhesive, which has been diluted with 20% toluene. This makes ELASTOSIL E41 thinner, but also causes it to have greater shrinkage. The product is used for bonding silicone rubber to other substrates and components subjected to vibration or high temperatures (up to 180°C). It can also be used for sealing enclosures and joints. Due to the release of acetic acid vapors during curing, the product is not recommended for use in contact with copper.
