ELASTOSIL® AUX G 3243 is a solution of siloxanes and reactive silanes in organic solvents. It is used for the preliminary preparation of metal, ceramic, glass, or other polymer surfaces to ensure excellent adhesion to subsequently vulcanized solid silicone rubbers (HCR/HTV, peroxide curing). After the solvents have evaporated, exposure to atmospheric moisture results in the formation of a rigid layer of silicone resin. The primer layer adheres strongly to many different substrates and serves as a adhesion promoter for subsequently applied silicone rubbers.
