Spiral hoses are a standard solution for managing and protecting cables and flexible hoses. Thanks to their construction, they can be applied to wires, cables, or pipes even after installation. Additionally, hoses can be partially or fully unwound at any time and in any direction. HellermannTyton spiral hoses are available in a wide range of sizes, colors, and materials: • Standard polyethylene (SBPE) for general applications • Unflamed polyethylene (SBPEFR) offers increased fire resistance • Polyamide (SBPA) for increased mechanical resistance • Unflamed polyamide (SBPAV0) compliant with UL94 standard ensures high fire resistance in class V0, for special applications, especially in railway and aviation applications • PTFE (SBPTFE) offers increased protection against abrasion as well as excellent chemical and temperature resistance. Spiral hoses are used for bundling and shielding wires when a high level of mechanical protection is required, such as in the automotive industry, or for control panels and cabinets. Spiral hoses are also used in electrical installations where additional mechanical protection for wires is required, as well as in many other applications.
