Description
Product Details

A two-component, very soft, neutral silicone potting compound with very low viscosity and high transparency. In addition, the product has very low shrinkage during curing (addition system), which, combined with its very soft consistency, enables it to be used for sealing very delicate electronic systems sensitive to stress (e.g. pressure sensors).

Thanks to its self-adhesive surface, the mass adheres very well to various materials, and the use of primers is not required.

Its high softness after curing (a consistency of non-flowing gel) and elasticity make it ideal for protecting electronic systems exposed to vibrations (e.g. automotive electronics) or overloads or impacts (protection of so-called "black boxes").

All of the above features, along with a mixing ratio of 1:1 and identical density of both components (possible volumetric mixing, not weight, as in the case of other potting compounds), make SilGel 612 A/B one of the most commonly used silicone potting compounds.

Thanks to its high flexibility, the potting compound can be selectively removed for repair purposes and then refilled.
