Construction: Made of high-speed steel (HSS) coated with a titanium nitride (TiN) layer. The TiN coating reduces vibrations and increases the durability of the drill bit. It provides a very high surface hardness. Produced according to DIN 338 standards. Cylindrical handle. Aggressive 135-degree split point angle ensures perfect centering and reduces pressure. Ground spiral. High thermal resistance and durability. Drills 40-60% faster than traditional drill bits.

Irwin HSS Pro-TiN Titanium DIN 338 metal drills are exceptionally fast and precise. Produced in the Danish Irwin joran factory.
The HSS PRO-TiN drill body is made of high-speed steel coated with a layer of titanium nitride (TiN). This additive guarantees exceptional strength and hardness of the drill bit (about 80 HRC). Additionally, the TiN coating prevents the drill bit from heating up (low coefficient of friction). Heat generated during operation is mainly transferred to chips and coolant. These properties make TiN drills very durable. The speed of titanium drills is 40-60% faster than traditional high-speed steel drills. The feed rate is also increased by 10-20% without significantly reducing the durability of the drill bit. The 135-degree split point angle reduces pressure during drilling and ensures efficiency and excellent centering. The industrial-quality ground spiral ensures precise drilling and quick removal of debris.
