The continuously increasing demand from mass transport and automotive industries for stronger cable ties leads to problems related to insulation damage caused by internally toothed standard cable ties, especially when subjected to vibrations. The outside serrated OS series cable ties solve this problem. This new solution offers high resistance to tearing, low tightening force, and a smooth surface on the insulation side of the cable, minimizing the risk of damage. The curved shape of the head allows for better fitting of the cable tie to the cable shape and reduces the amount of space taken up by the head. The cable tie originally designed for the automotive industry is used in many industries where thin or soft insulation cables are used (such as silicone), especially in the aerospace and railway industries.
