Spiral hoses are a standard solution for managing and protecting cables and flexible hoses. Thanks to their construction, they can be applied to cables, wires, or pipes after installation. Additionally, the hoses can be partially or fully unwound at any time and in any direction. HellermannTyton spiral hoses are available in a wide range of sizes, colors, and materials: • Standard polyethylene (SBPE) for general applications • Flame-retardant polyethylene (SBPEFR) offers increased fire resistance • Polyamide (SBPA) with increased mechanical resistance • Flame-retardant polyamide (SBPAV0) compliant with UL94 standard provides high fire resistance in class V0, for special applications, particularly in railway and aviation industries • PTFE (SBPTFE) offers increased protection against abrasion, as well as excellent chemical and temperature resistance. Spiral hoses are used for bundling and protecting cables when a high level of mechanical protection is required, such as in the automotive industry, or with control panels and cabinets. Spiral hoses are also used in electrical installations, where additional mechanical protection for cables is necessary, as well as in many other applications.
