The constantly increasing demand from mass transport and automotive industries for stronger cable ties leads to problems related to insulation damage caused by standard internally serrated ties, especially when cables are subjected to vibrations. The outside serrated OS series cable ties solve this problem. The new solution offers high tear resistance, low tightening force and a smooth surface on the insulation side of the cable tie, minimizing the risk of damage. The curved head shape allows for a better fit to the cable shape and reduces the amount of space taken up by the head. Originally designed for the automotive industry, the cable tie is used in many industries where thin or soft insulation cables are used (e.g. silicone), especially in the aerospace and railway industries.
