Spiral hoses are a standard solution for managing and protecting cables and flexible hoses. Thanks to their construction, they can be applied to wires, cables or pipes after they have been installed. In addition, the hoses can be partially or fully unwound at any time and in any direction. HellermannTyton spiral hoses are available in a wide range of sizes, colors and materials: • Standard polyethylene (SBPE) for general applications • Unflamed polyethylene (SBPEFR) offers increased fire resistance • Polyamide (SBPA) with increased mechanical resistance • Unflamed polyamide (SBPAV0) compliant with UL94 standard provides high fire resistance in class V0, for special applications, particularly in railway and aviation applications • PTFE (SBPTFE) offers increased protection against wear and excellent chemical and temperature resistance. Spiral hoses are used for bundling and covering cables when a high level of mechanical protection is required, such as in the automotive industry or with control panels and cabinets. Spiral hoses are also used in electrical installations where there is a need for additional mechanical protection of cables, as well as in many other applications.
