The constantly increasing demand from mass transport and automotive industries for stronger wire binding leads to problems associated with insulation damage caused by standard internally serrated clamps, especially when wires are subject to vibrations. The outside serrated OS clamp series solves this problem. This new solution offers high tear resistance, low tightening force, and a smooth surface on the insulation side of the wire, minimizing the risk of damage. The curved shape of the head allows for better fitting of the clamp to the wire shape and reduces the amount of space the head takes up. Originally designed for the automotive industry, this clamp is used in many industries where thin or soft insulation wires (e.g. silicone) are used, particularly in the aviation and railway industries.
