Thermoshrinkable caps are used to protect cables from moisture and damage to the ends during storage and transportation. They can also be used as insulating caps for low-voltage cables under voltage (0.6/1kV). The caps are internally coated with thermoplastic glue, which ensures tightness. HEK offers a large shrinkage minimizing the number of required thermoshrinkable caps. They can be equipped with air valves adapted to work with remote cable monitoring devices using air pressure.
Application: Thermoshrinkable caps can be used for cables with polymer insulation and for cables with lead sheathing and paper insulation, which may have aluminum or steel reinforcement.
