This medium-walled heat shrinkable tube is characterized by particularly good resistance to mechanical damage. It is resistant to solvents, acids, and alkalis. The MA47 version is made with an inner coating of thermoplastic adhesive, which melts after shrinkage and provides additional protection against longitudinal water migration as well as external and atmospheric conditions. It is primarily used to protect cables and wires exposed to high loads and mechanical damage, both above and below ground; both in new cable installations and in repairs of existing installations.
