This medium-walled heat shrink tube is characterized by particularly good resistance to mechanical damage. It is resistant to solvents, acids, and alkalis. The MA47 version is made with an internal thermoplastic adhesive coating that melts upon shrinkage and provides additional protection against longitudinal water migration and the influence of external and atmospheric conditions. It is primarily used to protect cables and wires exposed to high loads and mechanical damage, both above and below ground, during new cable installation as well as repairs of existing installations.
