This medium-walled heat shrinkable tube is characterized by excellent resistance to mechanical damage. It is resistant to solvents, acids, and alkalis. The MA47 version is made with an internal coating of thermoplastic adhesive, which melts upon shrinking and provides additional protection against longitudinal water migration and the influence of external and atmospheric conditions. It is primarily used for the protection of cables and wires exposed to high loads and mechanical damage, both above and below ground; for both new cable installations and repairs of existing ones.
